I would call them cages because they are... cages. I certainly call them cages when they are in the zoo, and putting them up at a different place does not changes that.
And if you put children into "holding cells" then this is not better.

And why do come up with Obama here? Those things don't look like they they are there for years. And even if they are - big president Trump had more then a year to change that, right? He is always so intend on doing away with things Obama did - why not here? Maybe because:

The media didn't call them that until now. Everything you are reading in the media about this is pure anti-Trump propaganda. In modern zoos animals are kept in enclosures. They were pushing a total lie recently that Trump called immigrants "animals" and thus the use of the word cages now. Just to support that false narrative.
So when a child commits a crime and gets arrested what would you like to call the place where they are held?
what should we call the place where kids have to go to be processed when their parents are picked up committing crimes?
Illegal aliens is a legal term.
When they first started pushing these crocodile tears about illegal aliens they were circulating this image of children in "cages" that they wanted to blame on Trump but those photos were actually taken during the Obama admin.
Immediately after Trump was elected the number of illegal aliens plummeted but since then they trended up, so they blame the increase on Trump even though the low also occurred as a result of Trump, or maybe as a result of all the fear mongering about Trump.
In fact he is getting rid of some Obama era practices and that is causing some of this publicity. When you prosecute someone's parents, how do you not separate their children from them?
Should we not prosecute criminal illegal aliens?
Why?
Is it the great American Spirit to send soldiers to conquer wherever they can?
I would assume that since there is billions of dollars of critical infrastructure up there and since that is an ideal place to launch weapons against the US from then we have an interest in protecting that property and defending ourselves from such attacks. It is in the great American spirit to make sure we have the high ground, is there any military force who does not want to be on the high ground?
America does not send really soldiers to conquer shit, we send them to liberate those who your German forebears enslaved and committed genocide against. That sort of thing.
Oh yes, I forgot. You liberated Kuba, Vietnam, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan from foreign occupation.
Oh, and of course you helped a dozen countries to get rid of their demoratically elected government to put a dictator in place, only out of love for the citizens.
Or from other sorts of oppression, like communism, you can tell that we did not conquer any of those places because they are all countries and not called "America" are they?
