Chinese company WM Motor, notorious for plagiarism design Mitsubishi Outlander, introduced its first electric crossover Weltmeister EX5. Despite the claims that the same photos have nothing to do with the future models of the manufacturer, the EX5 crossover still resembles the prototype from Mitsubishi.
Interestingly, this is a fairly large company, which was founded by the former top manager of Volvo, Freeman Sheng, managed to attract more than $ 1 billion of investments from Baidu and Tencent, and also to finish the construction of a large plant with a potential production of up to 200,000 electric vehicles a year. Moreover, it is already announced that by 2020 Weltmeister will expand its model lineup to four models, adding to the crossover sedan, station wagon and compact.
Officially, the presentation of the Weltmeister EX5 electric crossover will be held in April of the following year at the Beijing auto show, and in the middle of 2018 the sales of this model will begin - in the first year the company plans to collect about 50 thousand copies of the model.
