Manchester City Bus Damaged Fans, Liverpool Apologize
The incident occurred before the Champions League match at Anfield.
Liverpool apologize after Manchester City team bus damaged by pelted fans when arriving at Anfield to melakoni first leg Champions League quarter-finals on Thursday (5/4/2018) early morning hrs.
Host fans welcomed City team buses with beer cans, bottles and red beacons. At least one bottle was thrown and damaged the side of the bus but did not break the glass.
On the act of his fans are not commendable the club's Liverpool apologize to City. "We apologize to Pep Guardiola, the players, staff and officials trapped in the incident," the Liverpool club said in a statement.
"The behavior of some people is clearly unacceptable and our club will cooperate fully with the authorities to identify those responsible."
Not just the club, manager Jurgen Klopp also apologized for the incident. "I really do not know.When we came, it was very positive, but we do not know because City is ahead of us," he told BT Sport.
"For Liverpool FC, I have to say sorry about that - it's the opposite of what we want, I apologize to Manchester City, their players and their staff."
While Pep Guardiola clarified that no member of City who suffered injuries to the attack. "Everyone is fine and I want to thank Jurgen's statement," said the Manchester City manager. (Scoresway)
