Imagine seeing Halley's comet in HD

The European space agency released the last images taken by the Rosetta probe, just before crashing into Comet 67P / Churyumov-Gerasimenko taking high-resolution images.

This sequel goes from the beginning of August 2016 until the end of the mission on September 30 of the same year, when it collided with the comet and is that during these last two months the trajectory of the probe around the comet was modified progressively to bring it closer more time to its surface, because Rosetta was close to his death, since it was getting colder each time to get away from the sun, this way these spectacular images were obtained just two kilometers from the surface or less, which stand out for offering us an unprecedented level of detail.

You can see the contrast between the soft and dusty terrain and on the other hand the more fractured and consolidated material, now the scientists have a lot of interpretation work and we can marvel, think you are seeing in high resolution the surface of a comet seen from few tens meters high, who would have imagined when we saw the Halley comet flying through the skies, that one day we would see them so close.
