Hi #steemit friends!
On this beautiful day, I want to share with you a news that has attracted much attention for the moment that the relationship between Mexico and the United States lives.

In September 2005, Mexico sent water treatment plants, mobile kitchens and supplies for the victims; As well as food, water and medicines. During the mission they served 170 thousand meals, distributed more than 184 thousand tons of supplies and made more than 500 medical consultations.

"Mexico don’t care if you talk bad about their country, they still have a bigger heart to help the country that apparently don’t like them" it was read on Twitter this August 28, when an inhabitant of Houston, Texas, posted pictures Of a convoy of 45 Mexican Army vehicles entering the US and the Mexican Armed Forces being received by George Bush.
It was September 2005 and Hurricane Katrina had devastated New Orleans.
But Samantha Diaz (with 29,219 retweets from her publication and almost 60,000 likes) is not the only one who has recalled rescue efforts by Mexican soldiers during Katrina.

TWITTER
Samantha deleted her tweet after receiving a lot of comments and hate dms. She didn't imagine that her publication would become viral. She sent us a screenshot that she took.

She is accompanied by Patricia, a resident of California, who posted on Twitter: "WE NEVER MUST FORGET that Mexico sent troops and support to help us after Hurricane Katrina."
In addition to Mara McEwin of NY, who tweeted that Trump has not given anything to the United States during Hurricane Katrina, "while Mexico, then and now, is helping the victims. Who is the bad man?"

Houston is practically underwater

  • The cheering for Mexico comes after Mexican Foreign Secretary Luis Videgaray Caso posted on his Twitter account that Mexico had offered its support to Texas Gov. Greg Abbott after last Friday's hurricane Harvey (which has been called the worst storm in Texas history) became Category 2, hit ground and caused havoc unprecedented in Houston.

  • We have offered the US government all the help and collaboration that different Mexican government agencies can provide to address the impacts of this natural disaster, as good neighbors should always do in times of difficulty.
    -Mexican Secretary of Foreign Relations.

In response, US ambassador to Mexico, Roberta Jacobson, thanked "the support and solidarity of the people of Mexico in the face of the devastating Hurricane Harvey."

But the Mexico cheers via Twitter have not been the only ones that have come from the United States, in a text published in the Washington Post, which recalls the support during Katrina, you can read: "The help sent by Mexico was nothing Strange, it was an extraordinary gesture that helped save many lives. "

And, clearly, it refers to the speech of hatred against Mexico that President Trump has pronounced since 2015, at the slightest provocation. Even now, while there is a catastrophe in the United States.
So far, the only thing the US government has said is that during a natural disaster "the US government is in contact with its neighbors and partners to share data and cooperate as necessary and appropriate." And that if at some point they require help, they will be in charge of warn.
For now, several media outlets have reported that Mexican Red Cross personnel have taken a road to Houston, Texas, to participate in the rescue efforts. Paramedics from Chihuahua, elements of the Ciudad Madero Delegation, plus the 33 volunteers who will arrive in the disaster area to work with the American Red Cross in Washington.

On its website, the Mexican Red Cross has published an account in which financial donations can be made, in which we can all collaborate so that rescue and care work is immediate and effective.

The staff of the Mexican Consulate in Houston, for its part, has served the Mexican community affected by the hurricane.
The aid coordinator of the institution in Tamaulipas, Hugo Velázquez, confirmed that at the request of the American Red Cross, said relief group was formed that will depart from Mexico City on Wednesday to Dallas.

The stay of the Mexican paramedics would be for a first period of 15 days and with the possibility of being extended by a similar period or, in its defect, would conform another equipment that would replace the first one.

Houston receives aid from Mexico after environmental contingency.

Despite Trump's aggressive policy against migrants, the Mexican government sent relief troops to Houston, Texas, a city hit by Hurricane Harvey.

The fifth city of the United States undergoes unprecedented flooding as a result of Hurricane and Mexico, sent samples of solidarity not only to Americans but also to nationals residing there.

  • The aid troops are commanded by the Mexican army.

Last year we faced 120cm rain in Chennai it was the horrible experience and now i heard that you people faced 180cm 😵. My cousin is staying in America due to this stupid rain he lost his new car...
Hope America will recover soon stay in safe place

thank you very much for your support, I really appreciate your words, we hope things get better soon.

You know, a lot of people don't really view Mexico in the right light, and they should try to change that. Clearly people in less privileged countries care more about humanity than perhaps those in the developed world.

An interesting statistic I heard many years ago during another world disaster, was the amount of donations received per capita was the highest in some of the middle ranking countries and actually the richest countries were the lowest in terms of money donated per-capita.

good that you have such a wide view of things, the people of Mexico are always willing to help those who need it, thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with me, I really appreciate your opinion, a hug and best wishes for you @sweetsssj❤️

I am glad you took the time to write about this. At the end of the day humanity comes together after tragedy. It would be grand if we could come together more peacefully during times of joy as well.

so, the difficult times proves our character, and makes us discover who we really are, thanks for your comment is very supportive! :)

Thoughtful post. We all need to come together in times of crisis. I would only say the USA also helps other countries when disaster strikes and American charity raises a lot of money from private citizens too. Also what hatred against Mexico has Trump expressed? He has talked about illegal immigration and the problem of the drug cartels, but I'm sure you know much more about that and the effects they have on normal people. And Trump pledged a million dollars of his own money for the victims. I think he did a fine job dealing with what has happened in Texas. I just worry that people will use a moment of unity to try to divide people even more.

Thank you, my friend, your opinion is welcome, I thank you for your time, we have to add and not divide, thank God for the generosity of both countries, there are good and bad people everywhere, Best wishes! bro @daodesam

Excellent Article. It's actually much more well-written and professional.
