How much did the military spend yesterday? $765 million

Yesterday's big winner was GE's aviation arm with a $366 million contract for the repair of 18 part numbers in support of the T-64 engine.

Please note that the DoD has now twice listed a $10 million modification of contract HTC711-17-D-R021 awarded to Cargo Transport System out of Safat, Kuwait. The modification (increase) brings the total cumulative face value of the original contract to $27,709,945 and this figure is given in both listings under the heading of two different government agencies on two different days (both Washington Headquarters Services and US Transportation Command). If you're wondering how the government can fail to account for all the money it spends, this is certainly one possible way it could happen.
