TEHRAN - Donald Trump said on Sunday that the United States will supposedly come to terms with Tehran, but Iranian officials seem unwilling to sit down at the negotiating table. A senior official of Iran's elite military force ruled out peace talks with the United States, referring to Washington as the "Great Satan." "Negotiating with the devil, says the Koran, does not bear fruit," said Admiral Ali Fadavi, deputy coordinator of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard, according to Fars News. The Pentagon deployed an aircraft carrier and a fleet of B-52 bombers in the Middle East, as well as Patriot missiles... Continue ->

Bolton is 'war fanatic' and wants to destroy peace, says North Korea

Published 2019-05-28 17:30:41 by Paul Antonopoulos in Anglo-5, Eurasia, Headline-News, North-Korea, United-States

PYONGYANG - US national security adviser John Bolton is a "war fanatic" and a "defective human product" that works to destroy peace rather than maintain it, the North Korean Foreign Ministry said. The tough assessment, quoted by state news agency KCNA, comes after US adviser Donald Trump criticized Pyongyang for recently conducting short-range missile tests. Bolton said the exercises had no doubt violated UN resolutions. In response, the North Korean Foreign Ministry argued that the complete elimination of missile tests would completely damage the country's national security. "Prohibiting launches using ballistic technology is the same as telling us to give... Continue ->

Published 2019-05-28 13:24:48 by Paul Antonopoulos in Anglo-5, Headline-News, Opinions, Politics, United-States

The Center for Syncretic Studies' Tim Kirby in this interview for Indus News discusses the correlation between polling results and actual electoral results. The show was hosted by Meshal Malik.

Brookings asked the question of whether we can trust polls? Under the best of circumstances, they argue, the answer is "Not necessarily without a fair amount of detailed information about how they were conducted." This general note of caution applies at any time to any poll consumer. But today, with polls proliferating in the media and with methodological concerns increasing within the polling industry, caution is even more warranted.... Continue ->

The Center for Syncretic Studies' Artura Gal speaks with Indus News Meshal Malik on Mob Behaviour - how governments, groups, and politicians can manipulate these towards desired results. The French Revolution marked a key moment in history when over 40,000 noblemen and women were guillotined by 'the mob' during the so-called Reign of Terror, writes Patricia Casey for the Independent. It wasn't until the late 1880s that academics began to take an interest in crowd psychology.
