Faz sentido ser por conta desses backdoors mesmo. Porque infelizmente o que não falta aqui no Brasil são softwares pirata.
Pois é, uma verdadeira praga @discernente.
Ao usuário esses fornecedores dizem para não instalar as atualizações, para que eles funcionem "corretamente", deixando o sistema exposto a várias falhas de segurança de nível crítico. Eu sempre digo: "não tem condições, migre para o software livre (Linux) que é melhor".
