During the 2018 Academy Awards Oscar's ceremony conducted in Hollywood, California on March 4th, 2018, eight year old Syrian girl Bana Alabed was featured in a performance based around Hollywood heavily pushed women's empowerment and #MeToo movement. The performance was opened with spoken word poetry presented by rapper/actor Common. At the 1:20 mark in the video eight year old Syrian girl Bana Alabed appears illuminated onstage in a circle of light. She is featured throughout the performance which projects a message related to immigration, minority rights, gun control, and the mainstream media promoted women's empowerment agenda.
This use of eight year old Bana Alabed by Hollywoods Motion Pictures Academy of Arts and Sciences is particularly troubling, nefarious and misleading, to say the least, particularly because it has been well-documented that Bana Alabed is the daughter of Ghassan Alabed, an Islamic terrorist fighting in Syria who has fought alongside al-Nusra Front (al-Qaeda in Syria). Great post, and one that needs particular attention in the West; sadly, it's being overshadowed by the propagandized nature of film & entertainment. Not really a surprise, but that's the current state that we find ourselves in.
Just yesterday I mentioned that either Last Men in Aleppo or Icarus was going to win and one does not need to be some kind of expert on the matter to make such a prediction. It's all about asking two questions:
1. Who gains?
2. Who's in control for those gains to happen?
That's it.
That's the essence of finding the motivating factor that drives people to push extreme ideas for public notice. For people to eat it up is a whole different area in itself; emotional, ideological, circumstantial factors all come into play. Last Men in Aleppo & Icarus are emotive films, they belong to an ideology and a narrative that has been shoved down people's throats since 2008 (Russian demonization began right after the 2008 South Ossetia conflict or coincided with Russia's rapid economic growth)
They are also victims of circumstance; the propagandists need to push ideas in times when they are desperately needed. US influence in Syria and the Russian bogey-man narrative fitting in with the traditional Atlanticist vs. Eurasianist rivalry.

Agreed, that emotionalism is used to motivate people towards socialism, communism, apathy, ignorance, selfishness, arrogance, abuse: we see that in Hollywood and in music. I think you're right. Trump has an idea of what's going on. He also seems to be associated with Qanon which I think is trying to let people know some of what he knows. The layers are so deep here that it's going to take a long time to peel through them all to clear things up. One thing I do know for sure, if that economy starts to turn downward people are going to start paying attention to what's going on around them and who's responsible.

Agreed, there is a lot of misinformation out there which reminds me of how much they cover up in Europe as well. There is a lot of trafficking and other big things they try to hide. Scary ugly things that Hollywood and others does in America and especially Europe. it is good as we are able to ask people what they think about all of this. We can get more involved and make things happen. We vote with our dollars. If we are not happy with them, then we should not go out and see movies at theaters. We should boycott more.
