i find this title completely misleading.

And, it looks like it was chosen to be that way.

The thing is, what doesn't get measured, doesn't get improved.
And for most people, they do not have an honest measurement of their performance.

Sooooo, before an AI can be a boss, those measurements and what the mean have to be worked out. And really, we could stop there.

Unfortunately, the real measurements are not easily measured.
Sure, all call centers now measure the exact time each caller is on the phone, and if any caller is not fast enough, security is called to check on them. This is bad AI in action, and those call center people live in constant fear.

But, what you really want to measure at a call center is how well the caller felt emotionally, and how well the callers problem got solved.

And, if we could get a computer to measure that, then we would replace the entire call center with an AI.

So, what this article said is that people would like what they are doing to be specifically measured and to know what performances are required.

Most of the problem from bosses come in that they have no clue how to measure performance, so they just say "work harder", and that is really annoying.
