Proof: CNN's Editor-At-Large Is Running Cover For Corrupt Former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe, Directly Lied About His Wrongdoings While Attacking Trump

Since the moment Donald Trump was declared the victor in the shocking 2016 election, CNN has conducted a transparent full-scale operation to attack, undermine, and destroy all things Donald Trump.

It has become so bad that at this point it would be even more shocking if the openly pro-Clinton network actually covered the president fairly in even one of their so-called "news articles" not to mention their opinion pages.

With that being said, the latest example of alright dishonesty from CNN is a lot bigger than the usual hit piece as it not only came from their most heavily featured writer, it also showed that various "journalists" at the cable news outlet are possibly directly in the pockets of the deep state and are willing to shill for various FBI and DOJ crimes as long as they were committed in order to hurt Donald Trump.

On Monday, the former deputy Director of the FBI, Andrew McCabe stepped down from the agency in a piece of news that various mainstream news outlets connected to a power struggle between certain individuals within the bureau and a Trump White House eager to move on from the so-called Russian scandal.

CNN was quick to cover the story, spending the day publishing article after article blaming Trump for McCabe stepping down while showering the former deputy director with praise. The networks editor-at-large, Chris Cillizza, took it one step further by publishing an analysis (see disinformation piece) that not only predictably blamed Trump, but also ludicrously claimed that the only piece of evidence of wrongdoing against McCabe was that his wife took money from Democrats in Virginia.

The surprise resignation of deputy FBI director Andrew McCabe on Monday is simply the latest evidence that President Donald Trump not only expects total loyalty from his Justice Department but suspects anyone who doesn't show that fealty may be part of some sort of anti-Trump "deep state" conspiracy.

Here's Trump's thinking on McCabe: Wife is a Democrat → McAuliffe donated to her → McAuliffe is close to the Clintons → McCabe is in the pocket of the Clintons.

Seriously. That's it. I am not exaggerating in any way shape or form. Go back and read Trump's tweets. The extent of his case for why McCabe shouldn't be in the FBI is that his wife ran for office as a Democrat and, when she did, someone close to the Clintons (who was also the governor of Virginia!) donated money to her campaign.

No Mr Cillizza you are not "exaggerating" you are flat out lying to your readers and you know it.

Cillizza continues his piece by pretending to be "amazed" that Trump believes that there is some sort of deep state conspiracy against him. (we already know this to be an absolute fact) The following section of his article makes it hard to believe that this man himself is not working with those aligned against President Trump.

In Trump's mind then, McCabe was part of a broader bloc within the federal bureaucracy that is actively working to hamstring his presidency. Because McCabe's wife got money from Terry McAuliffe and because McAuliffe is close to the Clintons, it must also follow that McCabe went easy on Clinton during the FBI's investigation of her private email server.

That the President believes there is some sort of deep state conspiracy at work in his government is amazing enough. That he believes in it so deeply that he would actively work to remove the deputy director of the FBI is truly remarkable.

Now consider this. On the SAME DAY that Cillizza wrote the above piece, another report was making its way through the media that revealed that Andrew McCabe was actively involved in a SET UP of the Trump White House in an operation that led to the original fake news obstruction of justice charges by the phony establishment press.

As I recently reported for SHTFplan.com, an excerpt from a new book that discusses the media's ongoing war with the Trump White House includes a passage detailing how then White House chief of staff Reince Priebus was set up by both McCabe and James Comey during a briefing that they initiated which was then quickly leaked to CNN.

The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway noted:

McCabe claimed to want Priebus to know the FBI’s perspective that this story was not true. Priebus pointed to the televisions that were going non-stop on the story. He asked if the FBI could say publicly what he had just told him. McCabe said he’d have to check, according to the book.

McCabe reportedly called back and said he couldn’t do anything about it. Then-FBI director James Comey reportedly called later and also said he couldn’t do anything, but did offer to brief the Senate Intelligence Committee on the matter later that week, suggesting they’d spill the beans publicly.

An excerpt from the book quoted by Hemingway explained what happened next:

Now, a week later, CNN was airing a breaking news story naming Priebus. According to ‘multiple U.S. officials,’ the network said, ‘the FBI rejected a White House request to publicly knock down media reports about communications between Donald Trump’s associates and Russians known to U.S. intelligence.’

Priebus was stunned by the implication that he was pressuring law enforcement. Had he been set up? Why was the FBI leaking this information when one of its top officials had initiated the conversation?

That’s right, the man who just stepped down from the FBI, the same man who the mainstream media has claimed has done nothing wrong, was the person who set up a meeting with the White House that was designed to then make it look as if Trump was pressuring the bureau regarding the Russian probe itself.

Or, in other words, a direct SET UP on the democratically elected President of the United States.

So there you have it. CNN has been caught openly lying to their readers once again in what is an obviously desperate, last ditch effort to shill for their political allies. (Amazingly, CNN's Cillizza has already moved on to equally important deep state shilling with a piece claiming releasing the FISA memo is somehow anti-transparency)
