What Is Russia Planning? Russia and NATO Conflict?

In a possible show of might, Russia has been increasing their presence in the Arctic circle with increasing numbers of warships and fighter jets. The Express in their usual cash grab clickbait titles has made the following article which they have named "World War 3 FEARS heightened as Russia gears up to confront NATO forces in Norway". General Jeff Makmur of the Netherlands was the first to report on this. He stated:
“For example, when we do launching exercises as part of our ballistic missile defense program, we see more Russian ships than normally and they come closer to us than in past decades. They clearly want to make their presence visible.”
The articles don't give much other than the Russians may be providing NATO troops and that they're making their presence known. A far cry from a WWIII threat. Especially compared to the show of strength they put on display with China not long ago. We should remind you of how strategic Russia's leader Vladimir Putin is. A quote from the Imperial Regent Angelus Domini:
Putin is ex-KGB... He's a warrior, but a covert one... He didn't attack when America slaughtered hundreds of Russian fighters a few months ago, and he didn't attack when America unfairly sanctioned Russia for things they never did, nor did he attack when "defensive" missile batteries were placed on his borders... This is a continuation of his policy... Prepare - Build - Wait - Attack when they are most vulnerable.
Another article out of The Express goes on to say "World War 3 warning: US ramps up 'war-capabilities' as top general puts Russia 'ON NOTICE'" Although it does have a little more credence with the US feeling they need to ramp up their defenses in a report from CBN which had confirmed a statement from General Mattis ordering Fighter Jets to 80% readiness in case of war. So clearly, they know something is bound to happen. The question is: when? No one will know as it will be a very unexpected start, so with all eyes on Russia, China, Iran, and more, we're in an excellent time for such prophecy to unfold. Until that ultimate final war, we'll continue to keep you updated and separate the fact from fictitious or uncredible sources. Please post your comments in the replies section below.

At the very least, a new Cold War era. But, I would imagine much more escalation to come, giving the times we live in (end-times).
