Red Shapla Country
As far as the eyes go, the red carpet commemorates. Beauty is more red because the shawls are red. Satla village in Ujirpur upazila of Barisal. Shapala is available in almost all villages, somewhere white somewhere red.
What to watch: In small boat you will be lost in the red horizon across the bill. There is no spot to spend all day. But you can spend several hours effortlessly. The narrow road from Ujirpur on the way to the way, that road is amazingly beautiful. Aka-curved, one side river, one side bills and many trees on both sides of the road. Even in most places the sun does not come in sunshine, surrounded by sunny shade.
When to go: The
main time to see the boiling shapla is early morning, before sunrise. When the sun comes up, the shapla goes up and it will be very difficult to rotate in the heat of the sun. The best time since sunrise till dawn is the best time. But it is difficult to reach the Satlata so far in this village. We went to Barisal after 6 o'clock in the morning (6 in Mahindra) and reached at 7:20 in the morning.
