Project LIBRO - Must See Up & Coming Steemian - @queenielee
Let me introduce you to an awesome Steemian-
@queenielee (Queen) has just made her grand entrance yesterday and she completely blew me away with what she has to offer. Queen is from the Philippians and she is currently a chemical engineer. During the week she is very dedicated to her job but on the weekends, she always tries to make time for physical activities. A 20-lap swim or a quick trail run are two activities she enjoys. @queenielee has a strong passion for helping her community, especially when children and education are involved. This brings us to one specific reason Queen joined Steemit - Project LIBRO
This is what @queenielee has to say about Project LIBRO-
Last 2014, I spearheaded Project LIBRO, a community-extension service program which aimed to install mini-libraries in remote rural schools in Cebu. With the support of my organization, University of San Carlos Chemical Engineering Society (USCChES), the project currently has 3 beneficiary schools and has received national recognition after being one of the finalists in the 2016 TAYO (Ten Accomplished Youth Organization) Awards. Since then, a lot of opportunities has opened up for schools and students in the form of facility improvements and partnerships.
This is the reason @queenielee is the Up and Coming Steemian for the day. Project LIBRO seems absolutely wonderful. This is something that is full of meaning and full of love for the children and their education. Are you not yet convinced how wonderful this project is? Take a look at the smile on the faces of these children.
Queen has joined Steemit with high hopes that this will inspire others who share the same passion. They also have high hopes that by joining this platform, they will be able to expand the support for rural areas.

What a great find here @magicalmoonlight this is the kind of person that this community is very smart rally around. What an incredible endeavor getting together books for these youngsters and aiding in the educational process at such a young age. This is what pumps me up so much about this @greetersguild. Far too many people like this fall between the cracks and had you not been on your toes doing the work to find them the people we chat with would have no idea about this. Do we deserve the credit absolutely not, anyone that reads this post will likely think the same way we do and pull a hamstring to jump on this "bandwagon." Thanks for putting in the work so we don't miss gems like this that start every day on here!
I complelty agree. That's exactly why I joined, it is hard to see quality post go unnoticed. I've been there myself which is why I want to give back. @greetersguild is an amazing group of people.
Yay! Thank you so much for making @queenielee's entrance to Steemit grander than it should be, @magicalmoonlight! I have been waiting for her to join Steemit for us to officially launch Project LIBRO. She's the spearhead of the Project since 2014 and we have been actively promoting the project ever since. We have 3 beneficiary schools already and we are hoping to find a fourth one this year. This 4th beneficiary will be unique since Steemit will be directly involved in all of the activities.
She deserves it! I'm here to fully support Project Libro. I think what you guys are doing is absolutely wonderful. Every Monday I host a Magical Monday, drop a link in the comments there if you or anyone else involved writes a post about this project. I will work hard to get it out to the community.
