One day, Jacob, a mathematician, went back home at 3 a.m. and got scolded by his wife.
“You’re late! You said you’d be home by 11:45!”
“No,” Jacob replies nonchalantly, “I said I’d be home by a quarter of 12. That's 3, did you fail your math?”
Nevertheless, he was banished to the living room's couch for the night.
