How to survive after the end of the festive season?steemCreated with Sketch.

The festive season and the end of the year is about having great food and visiting family, and I must admit those days I put aside my strict diet but
it's perfectly fine as we should give our body some time to relax.
But what should we do from January when we have to get back to our usual routine, or we just want to start living a healthier life.

These tips guarantee you'll get in TOP shape asap!

1 The festivities has ENDED! They shouldn't last through January!

  1. Always start with a salad that should be the foundation you build on!
  2. You can get a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables which can make up a perfect main dish with some seeds.
  3. Have regular and proper meals, don't suppress your hunger with snacks!
  4. Always have dinner before you go out partying, don't start snacking there!
  5. Some soft drinks contain 300 calories! Beware of sneaky calorie intake. Switch all your soft drinks to mineral water and flavor it with lemon, cucumber, ginger or mint.
  6. Put all the food you'll eat on your plate. Don't do extra rounds!
  7. There are a lot of excellent snacks not containing a lot of calories. Make some vegetable dips, fruit salads, snack on sugar- and salt-free seeds, dried fruits and avoid stuff with flour and sugar.
  8. What about alcohol? Don't mix it, try to drink dry wine but no more than two glasses. After every glass drink twice the amount of in mineral water which will keep you hydrated and protects you from having a headache the next day.
  9. Don't eat a bigger portion than your fist, that's the size of your stomach. It probably grew a bit after the Christmas holidays, and you might need more to feel full.
  10. If you keep an eye on your portions and eat regularly, it will shrink back. It is not a coincidence that fitness athletes are eating 5-6 times a day. It's all about quantity!
  11. Find a recharging, fun exercise. If you feel good while you're training success will come easier and you'll be more persistent.

EXTRA TIP!

A weekly pass

You should have one day a week when you can eat or drink whatever you want! It will give your body a rest, and it will be easier to withstand long diets mentally. Of course, this doesn't mean you should eat through the day without any restraints, try consuming smaller portions several times this way the next day will be easier!
