Digital Innovation Lab: From Zero to Chatbot
It’s probably time overdue to break new ground without fear of the unknown. In an Austrian party landscape where everyone winds their way around a clear word in order not to crack broken systems any further, visionaries are challenged to step out of darkness into the limelight. Whether a new party with socially liberal freshness is able to find solutions for the care of our environment and political disasters further taking into account the new social conditions along basic income and digitization might be an unanswerable question. Not even against the background of whether something new would survive in an old system at all. The world continues to grow together and often only networks are flexible enough to adapt to changing global conditions, able to foresee developments in favor of proactivity instead of reactivity.
It is highly honorable that the 2050 Thinkers Club at Vienna’s Oracle Office opened its skyscraper portals to discuss new topics and trends with the innovators of our time. Interesting guests from London to San Francisco and back to Vienna discussed issues of how we will communicate in the future: Not only will chatbots replace digital assembly line work, but we will also be able to perceive the feelings of our counterparts in a completely different way. In general, emotions will take over our digital channels, the digital experience of emotions will take on more tangible forms, bridging distances over distances, giving wings to our hearts and soulmates.
With Artificial Intelligence based on Big Data humanity is still in its infancy after so many years of work, maybe transhumanism will match better with AI's teenage age. The historical overview at least provided us with a foundation of what kind of work needs to be done in the future.
The summaries at the end of all individual presentations and the concluding panel discussion rounded off the elaborated event structure carefully. The involvement of the audience in the discussions has sharpened the summaries once again.
It is not AI that changes our society, but people who use AI and merge with it in a unique manner. For the kind of future we will experience in our lifetime we might need to become friends with extended intelligence rather AI
May the dialogues of the future be inspiring. Why not having your own chatbot? A partner who would be therapeutically easing as good as one in overcoming existential problems which belong to life as well as our bright moments.

Servus @sciencevienna, interessanter post und ich freue mich jemanden aus meiner Studienstadt begrüßen zu dürfen :)
Ich denke nicht, dass chatbots Linienarbeiter vetreiben werden, aber irgendeine Art von Roboter bestimmt. :P Mit der Digitalisierung werden rudimentäre Arbeiten immer weniger und der "Mensch" wird wieder mehr kreativ und an innovativen Lösungen arbeiten müssen.
Ich war gerade auf deiner / eurer Website habe aber nicht ganz verstanden um was es geht. Veranstaltet Ihr Networking Events ? Sieht interressant aus. Du bist mit deinem Thema aufjedenfall am Zahn der Zeit.

Sure there will be certain replacements and at the same time not necessarily a "getting fired in favor of a robot": there will be adaptations and I'm positive in saying that employees will know how to advance their old jobs for the better :)

All of them is correct :D I'm freelancing, very often in cooperation with several companies if not individual clients. And it is sciencevienna which has opened up this world, as One-(wo)man-Show it would have never been possible. Networking is everything and I like to see how others design their networking to push their careers. I would say there's nothing more satisfying when having apart from what I consider as "main work" several side gigs at least some more opportunities on the sideline which are supporting my vision. In my opinion, AI will never be able to fully replace a human because of our"jazzy" characteristic - improvisation. Even if the technology is getting near perfect, there's always something that will be missing. So all the dreamers hoping that Westworld will become reality someday.. I don't believe it will ever happen. 😁
Of course, I'd like so much to be proven wrong!

Thank you for bringing in the not easy to catch issue of sentiments and emotions. Westworld might happen in a way we cannot fathom so far, like ants not knowing how to fly yet :D Let's be both proven wrong like all critics of Leonardo da Vinci not believing we'd fly one day ;)
At the moment AI and chatbots can add value to certain standard processes, but they still lack the sophistication and fines that a human adds to a conversation. Still I'm already seeing some interesting use cases in standard customer service areas and recruitment, like video or online interviews. Fast forward to 2050, taking into account the progress made in AI, machine learning, blockchain and other DLT I think we will all be having our own personal chatbots/assistants or even having our own digital twin. But you're correct the technologies potential depends on the human use cases, it's up to us to work closer and closer with the technology to ensure we maintain our human values in its outputs.
You're right in stressing DLT, many big corporations still lacking in qualified personnel to implement solutions like these you mentioned, look e.g. at fb and it's difficulties to enroll their crypto/blockchain, might be a homemade problem, too ;)

yes and it's in my opinion important that this kind of flexibility stays. Every of these technologies will sooner or later come to its limitations and all the more a mutual construction of these will help us to achieve our goals in a (future) view. I think it's positive not having the absolute and definitive answers yet

You are right, first and need to raise awareness about the use of artificial intelligence, I think we should not lose our humanistic approach and not become a cold and robotic society.
Second, the new AI will replace human warmth, it is true that it increasingly increases its use and application in any field, but we must not lose the compass and stop being sociable beings to become isolated people.
The idea sounds great friend, but I repeat, the fact of having assistants like these little by little will keep us away from people and can make us insensitive to the needs of our neighbor. That is just my opinion.
I think that this type of network brings us closer, only that we must use them, being aware of not losing sight of what we have around us and not neglecting the closest.

AI computers... They will either be the wings that set us forth the next level of evolution, or the seeds of our own destruction.
personally, I hope that AI will be kind and seek to help us instead of destroying us in some misguided way achieve its prime directive. The endless uses and possibilities of AI intelligence is awesome. A machine that has a mind more advanced than any human on the planet could conceptualize and dream up innovations that would take us decades to think of. There already advances with AI and music, where AI has been programmed play jazz music, and it comes up with rips and styles that even seasoned jazz players find fascinating and awesome to use.
I am glad that there are conversations happening around us and hope that safeguards are put in place, to curtail the potential runaway learning and rapid development of wrong ideologies in a AI intelligence.
Hahaha destruction in the sense of leading to a dead end conversation with a bot :D I think AI won't be more kind as its creator, if the creator is a cold-blooded psycho destructions will be far more disastrous, your jazz reference is interesting also in this comment: Check this out.
I think philosophers can be a kind of safeguards, however humanities have to fight on more than one front, let's hope and work on the best :)

Language is indeed constructing reality, an organization already thinking about the year 2050 gives hope that there could be a future here. You're very right, trends are rather short-term and many unforeseeable changes will happen. AI might not be able to replace us, if you've seen the TAU movie it might be quite boring without us ;) Great time to you as well, thx for coming back, upvotes again at the bitter end :D
