Elephant Riders
Elephant in Chitwan Park
It's not every day you meet an elephant whilst out walking, not even in Nepal.
I took this photograph during a visit to Chitwan National Park. The Park is a World Heritage–listed reserve and protects more than 932 sq km of forests, marshland and grassland.
There are sizeable animal populations there included one-horned rhinos, deer, monkeys, more than 500 species of birds, leopards, wild elephant, sloth bear and even the royal Bengal tiger.
While I was there I was lucky enough to see rhinos, deer, monkeys, crocodiles and wild elephants.
