RE: Using fabric from old clothes / 古い洋服の生地を使って縫う
I can't say how right you are! Especially today where it's difficult to buy fabric unless you do it online and I prefer to see and touch a fabric prior to buying it.
I don't have a small child, but there are a lot of other things you can make from old jeans or shirts. Jeans should be great for really sturdy project bags for my knitting and shirts (even t-shirts) for their lining. Now I only have to work up the courage to start sewing thick fabric like jeans...
Sewing is thirsty work - have a !BEER
Exactly. Jeans can be used for many other projects. I don't know why but my daughter always don't have enough pant and I'm sewing it continuously ....... ;)
As a next project I want to try this "Hosen Tasche" I found on Austrian Bio magazine. I got an old shirt of my friend's husband. So materials are ready :D

And thank you for the Beer @muscara!
Interesting - that's a bit more fancy than what I found on Makerist.
This looks nice too! I'll try it as my friend has tons of shirts :D
