Needlework Monday

Last week I wrote about how my middle child wanted a placemat and I obliged her.

Well, it turns out that it wasn't just a placemat. During the week, the crochet creation was used to eat breakfast on, to wrap up a "baby," as a laptop mat, and as a sign that I loved one kid more than the others (and the husband too of course).

So I made another one. This week's used a combination of the same white thread I used in last weeks, and some brown "chocolate" colored yarn. They are different, but because they were worked up using the same hook, the same pattern and using a common thread, they look like a set.

Im guessing, Ive got at least two more of these to make before everyone in my family considers themselves loved enough to have momma crochet them a mat of sorts.

My spring break is going great and these work up fairly fast. I'll have enough for the whole family soon enough.
