Needlework Monday
Hi Steemit,
Welcome to my #needleworkmonday post hosted by @crosheille and @crystalize.
This week I decided to appease my middle child who has been incessantly asking that we start using table mats again. I don't know what her deal is, but she's been in want mode for a few months. I only made one, and only for her.
Yesterday, I blended a grey cotton peace of yarn with a white acrylic piece of yarn and a bright acrylic purple piece of yarn. I usually like my kitchen stuff to be mostly cotton, but I enjoy making crafts with what I have at hand, and mostly acrylic is what's at hand right now. I used a corner to corner stitch with an 8 gauge hook. It worked up fast and I was able to finish in a few hours.
As you can see, I've been making some more bright fairy crochet dresses as well, and I draped one over the baby.
Thanks for visiting my needleworkmonday post. Let me know if you participated in the comments so that I can visit you back :)

Yes, thanks for visiting.

Are the bright fairy dresses for dolls? It's really cute! I like how the different yarn colors blended in the table mat. It's very pretty :) Did your other kids want one for themselves once they saw it?
They aren’t for dolls - but sometimes the kids manage to get them over their heads 😂😂. This one is just laid over.
They don’t want placemats, I’m supposed to make the boy a journal and the other kid wants an anything that shows she gets paid attention to too.
Lol.
Thanks for stopping by :)
Ha! You just described Pixie :-)))) too funny!
What do you do with the fairy dresses?
Are you going to make more place mats? I'm sure other members of your family might want some.
Silly! I thought you didn't LIKE placements. LOL. 143 :)
You just planted 0.35 tree(s)!

This table mat must have felt really soft. Love the colours, @metzli :)
It was really soft :)
Thanks for stopping by.
Heyy, that's a neat place mat! 😉
Thanks :)
Great colours and feel to the photo @metzli...
Thanks :) It was an enjoyable project.
I bet she loves this! Nice work! I agree with you about making things with what we have on hand. I think we honour the history of what we do! Thanks for sharing.
Great job Mama!! That was so sweet of you to honor her request and make a placemat for her! She will treasure it far more then one you could have purchased from a store...because her mom made it!! It turned out really pretty, I like the colors! Thanks for sharing what you’ve been up to his week :)
