Storage Space for Crafts and Notions
One of the challenges of being a really artsy craftsy person is finding storage space for all of the supplies, notions, sewing machines, hooks, knitting needles, yarn, etc. Where does it all go? Where will it fit? How can I still have easy access to the things that I need without those things taking over my house?
When I went to the thrift store last week, I came across some storage jars in a metal carry case. I don't need any additional storage for my kitchen items, but the thought occurred to me that the jars would serve a purpose in the bedroom where I keep my craft items. I originally had my thread stored in a plastic shoe box stuffed away in a dresser. I got the idea to use the storage jars as containers for my thread. I could then keep them on the top of a dresser that is right next to my sewing machines that I keep out and ready to use.
The jars and the carrier that came with them is really attactive to me, and I feel like the thread contained in them does not add a "junky" feeling to the room. Now I have easy access to my thread and I can see the colors that I need very easily.
Enjoy your day!
What a brilliant idea @jluvs2fly ! It looks so tidy and also it's so easy to find the right color! Plus it almost looks like a contemporary room decor element:-)
