Needleworkmonday 3-25-2019 working on a blanket
I made progress on the 10 stitch blanket during my travel on Sunday. It is relaxing to listen to a book while knitting. I picked up the Faded Sun Trilogy on Audible. It is an older series by C.J. Cherryh and I have always enjoyed her books so I was happy to find it available. It is set far in the future and is about Humans dealing with Aliens and Alien politics.
The starting point this morning on my first flight-
And the final status when I was able to spread it out tonight at the hotel-
Happy #needleworkmonday!
I like how the rows kinda connect to form corners @jamethiel. It looks pretty and I can imagine it to be a cozy blanket soon :)
I like the corners as well, it should be pretty interesting to see them develope as it gets bigger.
Thank you!
That's looking really good, @jamethiel. I think the yarn colour works really well.
Thank you!
I have no idea how knitting can form such a square form - wow. I would have ideas how to crochet it, but my knitting powers are not evolved enough.
One row of 10 stitches at a time... plus the turning stitches... it is not as fun as I had hoped, might have to add more stitches to make it more enjoyable. :)
beware.... more stitches more chances to produce knit accidentally into another dimension :-D
Lol! We don't want that!
Looking good.
I agree with everyone! The effect of the 10 stitches look awesome! I love the design of this! It’s like lines in squares!
Is this your first time knitting with this technique? Will you be gifting or keeping? Lol
It is supposed to end up being a gift but it is WAY looser a knit than I had expected and may not be very warm as a blanket. I am going to keep going with the 10 stitches and hope that it shrinks and tightens up once it gets washed. Thank you for your positive reaction. It is my first time with this technique and while easy to learn, it is a bit frustrating at times.
I hope it shrinks for you then. You're doing really great!! Keep working even through the frustrations, it’ll be worth it ;)
You did a lot during this time !!!! It will be interesting to see the end result !!!!
