Greetings! I am working on a hat, scarf and fingerless mitt set for my mom. In 2017 I modeled a pair of mitts that I blinged out, they are actually the ones on my Steemit cover photo...
My mom loved them and wanted some of her own. So I figured I would finish them up with you all and show how I add on the blingage using these metal lines beads.

First you mark the places where the beads will go. I did a quick measure of the beads to see how long they were to make sure they end up in the middle.
Place your G hook (or any small hook) right under the sc above the marker.

Now you add in your new piece of yarn making sure to leave enough tail for sewing in.
Ch 8. This will vary depending on the size of your beads and the amount. You’ll want to make enough chains where the beads fit on comfortably.
Insert beads onto chain.
Here’s a quick way to add the beads. Place the bead on your hook, grab the yarn loop with the hook and slide the bead onto the chain.
Once all beads are placed you will slst under the sc located above the second marker.
At this point you can remove your markers but leave your hook in. I had to make an adjustment and slst a little further away so the beads would lay flat. If you stitch them too close you will have an arch instead of a flat line. Finally, cut your yarn leaving room for sew in, pull up end with hook and then sew in both ends.
All Done!

I hope you enjoyed this simple and quick tutorial! You can use this method to bling out any of your projects! It gives it that extra flair and an added touch of class!

What a great idea and they look so pretty with the beads!
Thank you so much!! Now I don’t think I can make any without including them on :D
I'm not a fan of winter, but the cold weather is a bit more tolerable if we have warm, beautiful things to wear.
I’m not a fan of Winter either. I agree ;)
These are gorgeous! I could do with some of these myself, especially fingerless ones so I can still use my camera
Thank you! Oh you have got to make some then!!! You’d love these! That is one of the reasons I like them, I like my fingers free to handle things better. If you ever make some please share! 😃
I have always admired this type of craft work, I feel that you spend a lot of your time doing something nice for yourself or for yours
Thank you so much! It really is a rewarding and relaxing craft. Thanks so much for stopping by :D
So wonderful! My mother would also love the pearls and I never knew how to attach them or generally how to work with beads and pearls on crochet. Your tutorial is super clear, and your photos are as always artworks on themselves (especially the one with the red yarn crosses)
PS: I forgot to ask because of all the stress around me: how is your hand, did you get an x-ray?
Sending you hugs <3
Thank you! I’m glad you found the tutorial useful! I saw those beads in the store and told myself I had to find a way to attach them to something. I picked them up and start playing around and eventually it came to me to do a chain stitch to add them. Thank you for the feedback, I was hoping everything was clear enough to understand.
Thanks so much for asking. Well my doctor wasn’t available until the end of this month. As time went on it calmed down and is more manageable now. I decided to just keep an eye on it and continue as usual for now. I’ve been very careful not to do anything to strenuous on that hand. ❤️☺️
wonderful!!!! with beads the product looks more stylish and rich. I'm sure mom will like it very much
Thank you! She really loves anything with shine! 😄 I hope she likes them too!
I generally wear fingerless gloves in Winter as I hate the feeling of full gloves, but I must say I am a bit envious of your Mum those are so cool with the touch of bling
Oh wow I just keep finding out new cool things about you lol! I too prefer these over full gloves because things slip out of my hand ha! Thanks so much, she loves her some bling! 😄
And the other benefit its easy to use the camera when I need to :)
That’s the same thing @beautifulbullies said ;D
I think many photographers are the same :)
I agree :)
I love the look of the mitts after adding the beads, @crosheille. Great idea !
Thanks @cryptocariad! I’m glad you like the idea!! 😃
Oh, that's a cool idea! Are you blinging the hat of the set, too?
Thanks so much! No she just wanted the mitts that way ;)
Great trick for attaching beads, very useful tutorial. The gloves look so cute now!
I’m so glad you found this useful! Thank you!
