It really made my day. So yes I think it is good. :)

It is not good !
It would be good if @ned first had agreed to sharedrop some STEEM's to the bitshares community members!!!
That would be more effective in my opinion ! At least we knew they where dedicated... Now we just pushed away the half of them!
I am curious to see how some of them would react when they realize that @ned throws $400 bills to random users... lol

we got enough bitshares users here imo

as said we could have double of what we have now... Most importantly with the same high quality !

That's exactly what I meant. #bitshares is the 4th biggest tag on steem already, that's annoying enough.

User base for Steem will determine its success. User base grows when new and original people or content arrive. Because the platform grows and new speculation capital arrives, it's highly and relatively more valuable to appreciate new people and original content.

Thank you for upvoting my first post =D
Since then I try to bring quality content to Steemit

I think it's better to vote on quality contents provided by new users. For those hello posts, $10 is more than enough. Check these:

Agreed.

I've seen introduction posts that are a short paragraph long with not much to them at all getting $1000-2000 - and providing little-to-no value. This doesn't work if the point of the system is to reward value. Sure, everyone is entitled to their own vote, but there's definitely some system upgrades to be made if this keeps happening...

"original people and content" I like that idea.

It's a good idea - if he votes enough, the amount he gives per vote will drop to something like $50 - it will be spread around and the idea of concentration on just a few posts (which the bots are targeting) will go away.

Hmm....Didn't thought that way!

PS They will get disappointed and will loose faith to steemit when they see $700 decrease to $50 until 4 July... Could proove a big joke for the newcomers... What a fiasco?

I think the voting power resets after a day or two. It is better that the rewards get spread about rather than just concentrated on a few.

Suppose the voting bots are designed to look at your blog posts, assess the average earnings and then compile a list of those with an average above a certain amount. They then automatically vote for any new posts people on the list make.

If the "usual suspects" are no longer getting the rewards and the new people are, then the lists start to change. In fact if the whales spread their love far and wide enough, it will become impossible for a bot to tell from the previous average, which will be the new high paying posts. The owners will be forced to log in and read - because if the rewards are genuinely going to those with great content you should be able to find this out only by reading...

And lo and behold Steemit's problems are solved!
