Is Marvel trying to bring back the lost respect to the X-Men?

I think they are. They had X-Men Gold and Blue going already https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X-Men_Gold https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X-Men_Blue which seems to have been good enough Red is here.

Now that Disney owns it all, Marvel isn't afraid to actually start caring about these great characters again. Fantastic Four is already kind of started back again too, kind of which is more than the nothing Marvel has been doing with them https://steemit.com/ncbd/@cryplectibles/ncbd-marvel-two-in-one-1-released-today-a-quick-look-inside

Are they actually good? Or is it enough that they are back?

From my understanding the X-Men and Fantastic Four comics never exactly went bad (well no more or no less than any other Marvel comic in previous years), it was just because Marvel got sick of promoting Fox licensed comic book movies which they didn't have control over the characters. I have not read any of the new books to give my own opinion, I can only say as far as sales of the comics though, the X-Men definitely seem to be making back their way to be a prominent member of the Marvel comic family ("Red" newly released, Inhumans no longer have that feel like they are being pushed to takeover the mutants spot in the comic world, I'm sure the failed TV show assisted on that), I can only hope FF is right behind, I really do love them.

It's actually not Fox who has the rights to FF but some obscure company that had a deal with Fox so who knows where that will go.

I remember when the Disney talks initially went down that FF wasn't fully on the table, but it has since been confirmed by Disney's official press release Fantastic Four is part of the deal https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20171214005650/en/Walt-Disney-Company-Acquire-Twenty-First-Century-Fox (If you click the link, the top only is a highlight, FF gets mentioned in the meat of the release)

The agreement also provides Disney with the opportunity to reunite the X-Men, Fantastic Four and Deadpool with the Marvel family under one roof and create richer, more complex worlds of inter-related characters and stories that audiences have shown they love.

It's not so simple as their statement. However, since FF are in a small company I am sure they can reach the same agreement that they did with Fox, or just buy them out.
