NBA Western Conference All-Star Starters

Yesterday I put forward my East All Star Team (https://steemit.com/nba/@swans05/nba-eastern-conference-all-star-starters, so here's the west.

GUARDS

Starters - James Harden + Jimmy Butler

James Harden puts up huge numbers and has been far more efficient in doing so this year then past years. He may be the best pure offensive player to have ever played the game.

Jimmy Butler and the Timberwolves have been quietly going about things in the west and with a huge talent base, he's been the pick of the bunch, often putting the team on his back and forcing the others to play to his level on both ends of the floor.

Bench - Klay Thompson, Russell Westbrook, Damian Lillard

Klay Thompson has been the most regular of the Warriors backcourt so he gets the nod. Westbrooke, although shooting poorly, dominates in all of OKC's wins and has upped his play in the teams winning ways of late. Lillard makes the Trailblazers go and has gone to another level this season.

FORWARDS

Starters - Kevin Durant + LaMarcus Alderidge

Durant's has been usual unstoppable self on offense but has tuned into some shot blocker/defensive stopper from nowhere putting him up there as the best 2 way player in the game right now. Alderidge has put a Spurs team 3rd in the west without it's best player and point guard for most of the season to date and look out when he and Leonard start to gel.

Bench - DeMarcus Cousins, Anthony Davis, Paul George

Boogie and AD both get in on huge numbers but I still don't quite think it can get NO past the first round, if they even make it but as far as all-star teams are concerned, they are both locks. PG3 has been pretty consistent and of he, Russ and Melo can actually have a chat about what they want to achieve as a TEAM this season, then they could be a chance to the be the best out west come mid 2018.

CENTERS

Karl Anthony Towns has been up and down a bit this year but it seems as the Timberwolves improve, then so does he although his opposite center seems to score an awful lot against him for someone so big and agile.

Clint Capela is the perfect center for the Houston Rockets which makes him the perfect center for the all-star game and his running mate Harden will make it very easy for him.
