Top right is the open ocean, the Atlantic.
And it is possible to take your boat from the top right, open ocean, zig, and zag, along a bunch of obvious and even hidden from our view but clear paths, to go pick up that mooring ball, and lay at anchor. It's clear from above, in a plane, that this is all one estuary. well, one among many... but the path is clear.

A boat clearly already does this. It's a mooring ball and someone's dropped their mooring in the marsh, to keep their boat.
Makes, sense, too, so that you have all that mitigating land and sea, for any nasty waves and winds, from all but that one specific compass point. Of course, we are not talking about The Queen Mary, here... your boat would need a fairly shallow draft... maybe a couple meters tops at lowest lows. but it is doable.
