Sometimes, if only for a moment, time seems to stand still.

It’s amazing to think that 91% of the iceberg is hidden under the water. I took this near the entrance to LeConte Bay in Frederick Sound. It’s a single hand held exposure taken from a moving boat. Alaska, USA.

Beautiful forms of water in a tranquil setting! I remember this one from Tomas' contest. Smooth color transitions, and the light blue adds a bright touch to the dark mood. The clouds and reflection make the image even more appealing. Great job, especially when you get this done by a single hand from a moving boat!

This is beautiful, looks cold frozen water and it is. Brrrr

Water in solid state and water in liquid state, as we can see in this shot of the Perito Moreno glacier in the Argentine Patagonia. With its immense size, it is related to the passenger ship in the background. It is an unforgettable and beautiful image, but one feels its strength as large pieces of ice fall into the lake. I hope you liked it as much as I did. Thank you

Thanks for the cool entry! I like the colors and lines in your shot and how the boat contrasts with the huge glacier, you captured the perfect moment! I was in that region too and liked it as much as you did. :)

They don't call it Iceberg Lake for nothing!
After a 5 mile hike, you've just gotta jump in.

I just submitted a photo of the same place :) You definitely gotta jump in once you're there!!

Isn't that freezing?

Jesus freakin' god. If I do that my heart instantly stops hahahaha

Very cool(temperature-wise too)! Great idea to include a figure in the landscape photo - it gives a sense of scale and personal touch.

This is Iceberg Lake, seen from just below the summit of Mt. Wilbur in Glacier National Park, Montana. Getting to the top of this mountain requires a lot of effort, with class 5 pitches on all routes. For sure one of the most amazing climbs I've ever done in my life.

Wow! Awesome view from above!

What a view! Thank you for sharing this entry, so we can enjoy the amazing colors of the water without all the class 5 climbing on vertical rocks. :)

Wow! When the hard work pays off, great view.

Water can take on the most incredible shapes of texture and color. In this photo the surface of Lake Baikal was able to collect all the colors of the sunset and it looked like an expensive fabric woven from gold threads.

Stunning forms, colors, textures, and lighting! I love how you handled the framing and the leading golden lines. I've been to Lake Baikal too, but haven't got such a beautiful shot.

Ah, water! Who doesn't like water? I especially like water when it's falling - there's something beautiful about the way H2O interacts with gravity. This waterfall was on Vancouver Island, at a place called Rosewall Provincial Park.

Hmmm, this image looks familiar... :) You are right the falling water is always amazing, even better when it's against all these different shades of green. The red and yellow leaves add a different touch to the color palette. Long exposure very well done, and the mist and moist make a dreamy atmosphere. Beautiful contrast between the smooth flow and the textures of mosses and branches. I also like the transition of lighting from the foreground to the back.

Yes, I decided to go with one already posted. :)

Hey, thank you so much for the great feedback and analysis, @itchyfeetdonica, I really appreciate how you're going around and commenting while you judge this round! :)

Just by looks of it, these kids were having a blast enjoying the waves here at Ginatilan, Cebu.
Used my fujifilm xa3 for this.

Nice snapshot. A fun moment captured by you! =)

This is the view from my old apartment in Bangkok during a storm. In the tropics it really knows how to rain. It starts and stops as if someone were flicking a switch. I don't think I saw any light rain or drizzle the whole time I was there. It's either full cats and dogs or scorching sunshine.

"In the tropics it really knows how to rain." Haha, I feel the same! Thank you for your unique contribution to the water photo contest. Great storytelling and presentation of the mood!

This is the Alpsee in Germany.
Shot it on January 2017 during our first vacation with our little daughter, 6 months old at the time.
The Alpsee lies in Bavaria, to the very south of Germany and is a pretty popular tourist location, due to its closeness to the Neuschwanstein Castle, one of Europe's most popular tourist locations.

That's a gorgeous place and you have done an awesome job in showcasing its beauty. The golden glow adds a warm hue to the dominant cold shades. The reflection in the clear water stretches to the white landscape at the front, outlining an interesting frame. The textures of trees and peaks also form a contrast with the smooth snow and water surface.

Thanks for your feedback and the analysis :)

I really appreciate your effort to giving each contestant individual feedback - that's great!

Bonsai Rock, Lake Tahoe is one of the more popular spots on the lake for photographers, and for good reason. It has provided me with many great photo opportunities over the years. This photo works for #waterwednesday because of the lake obviously, but also because it was lightly raining and I had to wipe the drops off of the front lens filter off between each of the stitched images.

Your efforts of wiping the drops between each image surely paid off. :) This is such an amazing shot! The long exposure and low hanging clouds have created a special atmosphere. Both the foreground of rocks and the background of snow mountains serve well for the Bonsai Rock in the middle. I love your choice of colors too!

Thank you @itchyfeetdonica! Tahoe can have some pretty wild colors, especially on the east shore. A polarizer helps bring it out. Have a great day!

Great shot - particularly like your choice of colors in the image :)

Thank you @yblith, glad you like it.
