Where Botany, History, and Art Meet- Another Adventure in The Botanical Gardens: This Time In St. Louis, Part 1
So yesterday I told you about the Botanical Gardens in Springfield, but last month @quantumanomaly and I had the pleasure of visiting the Botanical Gardens in St. Louis, also. We had considered it during the three days we stayed in STL, but since we had other plans and weren't sure how long we would have to visit, we decided to leave it for the last day. Unfortunately, it was pretty dreary and rainy, but we still got to see some beautiful glass sculptures, very intriguing plant species, and learn more about the history of the gardens as well. I recommend giving yourself a decent portion of a day to visit the gardens entirely if you make it out that way, as we had to cut our visit short after about three hours exploring so we could make it home at a decent hour. I am splitting these posts up so that you can see each section we visited separately, but here are some of the plants and sculptures from throughout the park. I hope you enjoy some of the photos from our visit and let me know if you recognize any of the plants or have been to visit yourself.
Stay tuned for the next part in this series: I wanted to show it to you all at once but I realized that there was just so much I loved at all of the gardens inside the Missouri Botanical Gardens of St. Louis that they all deserved a post on their own.
