Raising Tadpoles (Days 3 - 4)
Day 3 - More Clingers
Even more clingers (stopped counting at 50)! You can see little eyes developing. They'll be like this for a few days as they finish using consuming their egg sacs. After that they'll start free swimming and be ready to feed. :)
Day 4 - A Higher Definition
Their bodies are becoming more defined and you can see the tail becoming more differentiated. Most of the eggs that will become tadpoles have already done so at this point. Pulled my old 20 (gallon) long tank out of storage yesterday to start moving them into once they enter the froglet stage. Before that though, they'll be moved to the 5 gallon when they begin feeding (had to buy a new one since the old one is missing).
Notice how some of them are floating at the surface? African Clawed Frog tadpoles are unique in that they possess both gills and lungs.
