The zeolite has caused the ammonia level to drop from between 0.5 - 1 ppm to between 0.25 - 0.5 ppm. This will allow me to reduce the daily water change to 30% for today as a sustainability test. I'll take this moment to mention zeolite is emergency measure in a normal filtered tank. The key to a healthy aquarium in the long term is to properly cycle your tank. For a filtered tank, you can rely on zeolite for a time but, much like running a vehicle with a leaking radiator by repeatedly pouring water in, you'll expend more effort in the long run and eventually make a mistake. Unfortunately, tadpoles can't use filters and as such have to rely on daily water changes, once they become froglets, they can be moved to a filtered tank. The tank divider came in today, very easy to assemble and will be placed in the main tank once the froglets are ready to move.

In addition to the zeolite, yesterday, I also added the 5 sections of (very) roughly 10 cm long, 1 inch pvc tube to give the tadpoles a few places to go through while swimming around. Within 3 minutes, the first tadpole had already swam through and many others have followed suite, they don't stay in them long since they contain no food but I'm sure they'll enjoy them more as the develop into froglets. Currently, the farthest along are NF stage 59.

In the next few days, we'll see further development of the arms and legs in addition to the progression of the head towards a more frog-like shape. The earliest any of the froglets could leave is Monday as the wholesaler they're being sent to is on vacation until then, though I'll still be holding a few in case anyone reading in the United States would like to buy some. Thus far all of the tadpoles have survived save for one that passed away around day 6 or so, that means among the 83 to become tadpoles, we have a 98.8% survival rate thus far.
