Garden Bird Eggs 🐣🐣🐣 - Identification!
Clearing the back Garden this morning as the large Ivy which hangs from the Castle Wall has shed lots of leaves over Winter.
As I was clearing up I stumbled across these 2 eggs. There are lots of birds that live in the Ivy however I dont feed them there due to the cats.
I consulted my bird book which my Mum got me for Christmas, inside are a load of bird types and eggs.
After consulting the bird book, there was no plain white eggs so I had to use google and discovered they are Pigeon Eggs!!
Which makes sense as there are a lot of pigeons around and once Marley brought in a Pigeon Chick =(
I as really surprised to see all the different shading and patterns in the different eggs and yet the Pigeons to be so plain in colour and without any markings.

That is a nice book. I kind of find it strange pigeons would lay eggs so close to cats being in the area.
Yeah you woudln't think so. The ivy does over flow from a wall so I wondered if they could have fell from quite high up maybe. But there were close together on the floor. Hmm....
Those eggs are super cool looking. Cool find! I love finding random wildlife. I hope they hang out, maybe you can train them to take messages?! Hahaha!
