CLEANING DAY AT EL OASIS BEACH - MARGARITA ISLAND - VENEZUELA

in #nature6 years ago

Hello dear Steemians. Really when we commit ourselves to protect our nature, there are many actions that can be carried out in favor of the environment. In this opportunity I want to share with you one of the tasks that we carry out eventually with the best team that I have been able to find "My Family". The activity consisted in the collection of solid waste that was in a section of "Playa El Oasis".

Below I show you information of spa so representative of Tubores municipality, Nueva Esparta state:

It is located near the international port "El Guamache". It is a beach with crystal clear waters, surrounded by mangroves, without waves and shallow, forming a kind of natural Jacuzzi.

What makes this beach more interesting is that you will not only see the sea, but also its representative vegetation formed by mangroves along its entire coastline. Since in its vicinity is the Punta de Mangles Lagoon, this site has two sections of lagoon-sea communication as filling system of the same lagoon.

As for its fauna you can find fish, birds, crustaceans and molluscs such as mullet, flamingos, crabs, oysters, among others, which is why ecologically it has been considered that mangroves are the most complete ecosystems of nature.

Like all margariteña I know that our natural resources represent both environmental and economic potential, since it is the raw material for the practice of tourism in the Nueva Esparta state. This being the predominant economic activity in our region. And good as a family representing a great team we were born the need to put into practice our knowledge in terms of environmental education.

For this reason we decided that on the last Sunday of each month, we would carry out this type of activity, to counteract the neglect generated by the entities of the current government, which, as we already know, has not allowed to supply the basic needs of the human being such as food and health, much less to take environmental duties into account.

The work consisted of buying garbage bags and carrying the collection tools such as rake, shovels, among others, and selecting the space that will be cleaned monthly. We also take into account our respective refreshments so as not to become dehydrated under the bright sun, as well as protective measures such as clothing and sunscreen, so as not to cause damage to our skin.

Once the waste collection work has been done, we ask for the help of a truck to take it to a place where the toilet truck will pass, so that it can be taken to its final disposal. In this case, the Agua de Paloma landfill, located in the municipality of Díaz.

In Venezuela there are many laws for the protection of beaches or spas, but in reality there are no regulations in effect. It only remains for us to do our bit. Because our task is to guarantee the existence of natural resources for the enjoyment of future generations, they also have the right to enjoy what nature currently offers us. Think that they could be your children or your grandchildren. The mission is in our hands, let's motivate yourself and form your environment team, and what better to do as a family. What do you say? Do not you dare?
