FEEDING WILD BIRDS
Yesterday I decided to introduce a new food Source into my garden for the birds DRIED MEALWORMS
I only bought a small bag just to see if the birds liked them, and they did .
At the moment I use SUNFLOWER HEARTS, PEANUTS, FAT BALLS and NIGER SEEDS which are all very popular to the point where it started to get quite expensive so I decided to start buying in bulk which has made a big difference , I mean if you compare buying a 1 kg bag of sunflower hearts from a garden centre ( which you probably have to drive to) to buying a 20 kg sack online the savings are a massive amount. If you’re going to start feeding the birds in your garden for the long run it’s got to be affordable it’s no good running out all the time .
These pictures where taken with in the first 30 minutes off putting out the mealworms
Hopefully this post may just encourage a few people to start feeding the birds in their garden, they are a lovely thing to watch from your kitchen window. Cheers mike
Your right about it getting expensive @mikenevitt i try to pick them up from the cheap shops but even then bulk has to be cheaper love that little bench feeder 👍
I makes a difference, thanks for your reply cheers mike

Nature is so soothing to watch. I’ve been enjoying watching the variety of birds in my yard, especially when they splash around in the bird bath.
You can get some great pictures off them in the bird bath , thanks mike
