Funky Looking Flower

  Hello Steemians!

This is an orchid from my aunt's garden. She has around 4 types of these in her patio where they get plenty of sunlight and fresh air.   Apart from her cat and the occasional bird, she doesn't have pets.    Like other women in our family she enjoys cooking, gardening and baking any kinds of sweets.  
      My aunt is nearly 80 years old and dedicated full time to her garden. Each one of these plants are around 5 years or older and they're treated with charcoal, organic and completely natural fertilizers.
 

According to the American Orchids society, she's taking great care of them and following they're suggestions. So if you have an orchid drop by and read some of their articles.
 

          What I love about this bad boys is how strong their petals are, the color blending and specially how big they can be( this in is like 15cm tall ).

Fun fact: It smelled... Wired? Not your average sweet - soft smelling flower. More like a spicy scent, similar to  clove.
