Nature is a Source to Generate Power
Hello Friends,
Here I am Lucia again trying to find a good and virtuous topic to inscribe and share on my blog.
So the topic for today is "Source of Power".
Electricity is one of the wonders of the world and, nevertheless, it is taken for granted. A little over a hundred years ago, many people had never heard of him. The streets of the city were lit with gas light and the houses depended on kerosene lamps and candles. They were smelly and often created fires and needed the need for something better. Then came the miracle of power generation and transmission through wires.
Who would have thought it possible?
Hidden in the atmosphere is much more than that, however, since we are coming to an agreement with natural forces and ways of coping with it.
Due to electricity, we now have machines capable of doing household chores. We have refrigeration, ovens and, more recently, the Internet, computers and everything else of 21st century technology.
In the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), the government is building solar farms. As in other parts of the world, this technology includes panels pointing at the sun. They are designed to follow sunlight as the solar body moves through the sky. This also depends on electricity to make it work.
Then there are the wind farms and some of them are located far from the ACT in other states. The power they generate is transported by cables and is capable of feeding thousands of homes. Together, the wind farms and solar farms will make the Territory independent from other sources of energy by the year 2020, which is the target set in Paris.
Although a small area like this can do so, it can also be done in many other regions. All they need is the incentive and give up the idea of coal-fired power plants that throw huge amounts of foul carbon pollution into the atmosphere. If only all governments can be encouraged to use nature to generate energy, the world would become a better and cleaner place to live.
