There is no coldness without warmth, no darkness without light. We cannot measure cold or darkness without comparison to heat or light respectively. We must have and understand both, to appreciate the distance between them. Only seeing the good is just as limiting as only seeing the bad. Find the balance and see what will make you a better person.
