Paddleboarding Inflatable review vs hardboard on Lake Chickamauga outside Chattanooga TN
This is where I grew up. Chickamauga Lake near Chattanooga TN. The Tennessee River was dammed up in the 1940's as part of the New Deal. The river continues to run through it and we see barges daily from my childhood home.
Here are some pictures of my wife with her new inflatable Tower Paddleboard she got for Christmas
!
Here is our selfie before we leave
!
Here is a picture of my wife holding my hard paddleboard before we leave
She picked it up pretty well and never fell in
!
Neither one of us fell in and had a great time in all sorts of coves we never see in a skiboat or cruiser.
We will paddleboard more often. The inflatable would be 1000X easier to transport than the hardboard

I would recommend the inflatable paddleboard to anyone who doesn't live at the water. If you have to put a paddleboard in your car to get to the water, it only takes 5 minutes to inflate and it can fit in any trunk or seat of a car.
A longboard is very awkward to transport. It does ride better and faster. I eventually tied my wife only my hardboard and towed her home....
We had a great time and give a great review of the Tower. Dont expect to cover a lot of ground as fast as a hardboard but they are very easy to setup and breakdown. If you live at the water, have a truck or rack, or are a serious paddleboarder, the hardboard is better.
Nice pics and post! Lived in Chattanooga for a year or two when I was a kid. Phenomenal weather. We could sled down our street!
Oh wow, only a few times I can remember snow on the street. Luckily its a pretty mild winter here. Thanks for looking. Hope you enjoy.
Always wanted to try that, looks like a ton of fun. Also, you have a beautiful wife!
Thank you so much. I think she's pretty. You can rent paddleboards in downtown Chattanooga and many other places with flatwater. Great experience
Looks like fun, did you two push each other in for extra fun?
LOL actually i barely touched her board, @vsoutdoorsnaps, and she freaked out yelling saying "I tried to push her in".... Lots of fun, do it if you get the chance.
Great post!! I have also had very good experiences with inflatable paddle boards. My inflatable is as fast as the solid boards I have ridden. I've ridden on the Red River, Harpeth River, Caney Fork River, the Pacific ocean and Gulf of Mexico. I love the portability.
I also think the inflatable would be useful in light whitewater. The hardboard.....no way. The inflatable is more like a rigid inflatable than a fiberglass paddleboard
Whitewater paddle boarding is becoming very popular. Even class 3 and 4 rapids. I would love to get that good. I believe most of those boards are inflatables.
Do't play above the surface of the sea, new steemian seagulls looking for minnows to eat :)
Here they are, just watch out, or quickly turn into dolphins. They play well with them. Great photos, thanks for sharing.
Good stuff! lol
Nice
