Experimental Sunset
This is a photograph where you really need to click on it to get the full picture. Otherwise it will look like a tiny piece of orange in the top right hand corner of the post. 😂
It was actually a stunning sky but the surrounding countryside was pitch black. I experimented with trying to take a shot with and without the flash.
I only have my Samsung A5 phone with no long exposure or zoom options.
It's been a long day and I wanted to post something of it before going to bed. I'm too tired to even judge if I should post this or not but it's all I have to hand right now.
I did my best and that's all I can ask of myself! 😂 😂 😂

I think it's a good one @gillianpearce! I especially like the bit of fence/rail that you got in on the bottom of the photo.
By the way, I totally know the feeling...tired, been on steemit too long, good enough...click...Post! haha

This is a pretty cool photo! The faint image of the gate in the lower right adds a lot of interest!
Thank you @rwedegis. I'm not sure about it my self. I wanted to get the puddles in as well but the flash didn't reach that far. It#s one of those situations when what your eye sees and what the camera can capture are two very different things. 😊
I clicked on it and still got a tiny sliver of orange in the upper right corner.
I've tried capturing a full moon with my iPhone's camera, and it won't even focus, so at least your Samsung was able to do better.
The orange actually reminds me of a feather, so that's cool, too.
Ah yes @glenalbrethsen, it was always going to be a relatively small amount of orange in the corner. Just changing from a tiny, tiny bit to a tiny bit! 😁
There must be something wrong with your personal iPhone I think. Aren't they the be all and end all of all things great in the mobile phone market? Always superior to all other phones?! 😂
It could be my iPhone. It could also be the operator. :)
In all honesty, the iPhone has never been all that great in low light with anything I've tried. But then, I haven't tried it a lot, and I've also not looked at all the possibilities, either.
Can't be the best at all of it, regardless of what Apple or even others might claim. :)
I can see criss-crossing lines in the lower right.
Yep. That's a gate @immarojas. This is one of the ones I took with a flash so it lit up the gate to the field a bit.

Nice to see you'r experimenting with dark sceneries, is not so easy stuff but you did it quite well giving us such dark covering feeling.
As long as I've could check, the A5 has zooming options attached to a pinch function. It has also a "Pro" mode wich maybe has exposure options you can play with.
I'm trying those functions lately and it's quite interesting and funny.

My photograph was taken with the flash. I don't think I used to zoom in that particular one. I'm not aware of a pro setting. I'll have to check. There is definitely a night scene setting but I keep forgetting to use it.
We had pulled over to the side of the road and it was pitch black so it wasn't an ideal place to be hanging around! 😁
I love the variety that sunsets provide. Every one unique and beautiful!
