Taking in the Wonders of Nature : Autumn/Fall
Every Wednesday i walk to my mums house usually through the streets but as autumn is my favourite season for its magic of colour i thought i'd walk through the park and woods just to take in the colours and wonder of natures season.
In the park the conker tree is almost bare of leaves and the kids and squirrels have taken all the conkers and acorns.
The rose gardens are looking quite sad after giving everything to the marvellous blooms of the summer and are ready for a winter rest. All the deciduous tree are taking back the goodness from the leaves back into the tree for next spring and the leaves are turning into those magical flakes of colour.
The rowan or mountain ash trees are still holding onto their red berries which the birds will eat and spread the seeds as winter draws in.
As a child i always remember Sundays in autumn when my dad would take me and my brother to the park and we would run through piles of leaves and kick and throw them at each other. They seemed at the time to be waist high although i was probably tiny and things always seemed bigger or deeper back then.
Magical colours and magical times every autumn.
