CREATE NATURALLY - FROM INSPIRATION TO CO-CREATION

Nature has always been inextricably intertwined with human creativity. Humans are not separate from life and nature and never have been. We find profound inspiration in nature and a walk in the woods is restorative and the calmness found within is mind opening. Creative thinking is stimulated by nature.
Additionally the raw materials within nature have been continually used to evolve the civilized world. Biomimicry is the concept that we can use nature as a model for continually creating. Benyus's book Biomimicry has spawned a very intelligent movement to model human activities and innovative products from observing natural processes, plants and growth systems. Velcro was invented by a man walking and finding sticky plant seeds on his pants. AHA - and velcro was born. That is one of the classic examples. Nature has always been a primary partner for co-creating.
Nature has also allowed us to develop an incredible array of tools. Physical tools are created from matter – Nature. Medicines are derived and products to keep us alive. We eat, breathe and drink nature.
