Another harmless moth ...
The struggle to get this close without disturbing this little moth and the number of blurry photos made this photo special to me.
It is not a new photo but from this time last year - I've only seen one other moth of this type this year and didn't feel like taking more photos ...
It was certainly a rare sight inside the house - of course it must come in the night when there's an open window and a light on...
It is really quite a small moth, but its markings are incredibly clear and easy to spot:
I know this last photo is bad but I included it because it shows the moth 'flat' so the shape of the wings is clearer ...
I have found it quite difficult to find information about it though. This is because none of the photos I've found show the yellow area that I photographed.
Could it be a 'lomaspilis marginata' or Clouded border moth then ?
I have also read that it's very variable in its markings. Perhaps you know about its name and can help.
I also wonder whether my Ermine moth 'friends' ever appear at the same time... That would make a nice photo.

Thank you @carovargasv
I have been spending a lot of time trying to identify wildflowers lately. I've found two things helpful 1) library - get lots of books with lots of pictures and 2) internet is good for local or regional plant and animal info. I spent two weeks trying to identify a flower found in a local regional park. I found it in a online wildflower guide for that park! lol Don't ask me how it took me two weeks to follow that link haha
To me the main thing is to then actually remember the names I've 'learnt'... that's a good memory challenge @steven-patrick...
