Manikaran is located in the parvati valley on river parvati,northeas of bhunetar in the kullu dis.of himachal .
About 30 km from kullu and 4 km of kasol.
Manikaran is areligious place of sikh sect and hindu sect.
The tremebdous flow of parvati river in manikaran is verybeautiful and very lovely to see and together the hot trough which wave composed by lord shiva and parvati, in which mani went to river .in the joy of returning the mani( gem) ,mother parvati named manikaran as the place

There is a 24 hour arrangment of langar by the sikh community,whose whole food is cooked in a hot kund,there is no system of gas and ilectricity application is needed.
