Before we even started out 8.2 mile (13.2 Km) hike, I took a quick restroom break and noticed that someone was watching me!

After taking a quick bathroom break we hit the trailhead and my fiance took the led!

The first mile (1.6km) was a cakewalk! There was very little elevation but when we came to the fork we decided to check out bridal falls first. Along the journey there was A LOT of switchbacks and some areas were so steep that the rangers had to put in stairs in order to get to the falls! Even though it was quite the workout to get the falls if was MUCH Worth it!

After taking in the scenery and heading down the hill to go to Lake Serene we saw a chipmunk!

I actually ended up seeing quite a few running around!

On the hike up the switchbacks to serene lake I took this breathtaking view over the cascades!

Once we got down the hill from bridal falls is was another long 2.2 mile hike to serene lake but if you saw the thumbnail from this post you know it is gorgeous and it is even more beautiful in person!

Once we made it to the top there was a log that was turned into a bridge that we used to walk across the lake to where we sat down for a well deserved rest and ate some food we packed in!

PS. Nice pictures. Really like the texture and color of the dead wood. You must feel very lucky visiting such a beautiful place.

That waterfall would be worth the walk by itself! I've never seen a bridge quite like that before. Great post. Looks like it was a fun and relaxing day. I just posted an article on some hiking and touring on the Isle of Skye. If you're interested, I would appreciate your feedback. Thanks.
