Bowel movement healing of a studious child
Oh God, I was such a studious girl in school. I am now too but more of a practical learner and not through books. Indian Education system is more about theoretical knowledge & very less practical. So a studious kid will be in the books all day long - reading them, cramming them and imagining all the while. But very little practical exposure of that knowledge. I was one of these students only - always First in the class. But honestly, the books of social science were nothing more than pure cramming. I had cramming sequences for everything haha. I would cram 2 pages long answers without forgetting a line.
A class monitor and teacher's favorite but what did it cost my body? Lying on the pile of books from 4AM in morning till 10PM in night, how did this affect my body?
It was ninth standard when I started having bowel movement issues and honestly I did not care at all about my poor body movement or anything associated with my health during those days. I used to ignore the problems my body was having because I did not want any hindrance in my studies and I was always short on time though I used to spare an hour 4PM-5PM for watching cartoons on TV.
All of this resulted in bowel movement issues and my parents started getting concerned. I also started having stomach aches and weird feelings in the stomach. Sometimes when I woke up in morning and sometimes in school. My mother tried everything to help me but I just won't listen and cry more over the medicines she tried to make me consume. Among those piles of kid medicines that she was making me try, one day she gave me Curry tree leaves in the morning.
Then there was it - The Curry Tree leaves.
She just pluck out some sweet leaves from the Curry Tea and made me eat. I resisted at first but the leaves were pretty, clean and sweet & my physical situation was getting worse. Whenever I would have stomach-ache in school, it would become a scary dark day for me. The leaves worked, they promoted bowel movement in morning and my days started getting better. Life suddenly started becoming peaceful because I was not having stomach-ache in schools so I also started liking the leaves. The leaves were my solace, something that gave me confidence as a child that no stomach-ache will happen in school today.
Eat two leaves in morning and study as much as you want. No one will force me to move around or do chores for the sake of moving my body.
Here is my lovely Life saver tree - Curry Leaf Tree
These leaves are sweet in flavour and also serve as one of the ingredients in some Indian Curry cusines like North Indian Kadi and South Indian Sambhar. A must have tree for Indian households. :)

When my boy was little, he used to get awful constipation and scream his head off! It was like he was dying.
A good trick for anyone is apanasa yoga pose.
But lucky you had that plant!
Sounds like you worked hard and didn't get enough exercise to destress and get the blood flowing! I always used to force my boy to go for a walk or a jog to break up his study, and fed him lots of fruit and raw vegies, which seemed to help too.
Great what I am sensing is all the moms are so concerned about their kids, making them move, stuffing them with vegetables and always looking after. Specifically loved the mom affection that I see in this comment. :)
Ha, he actually thanks me for my good parenting now. He knows how to stuff his own face with vegetables. 😂

hehehe thats sweet.
Diet, hydration ad exercise are the best combination. Yes, the curry leaves DO work as a good back up plan, but used often they promote a lazy bowel. I've been planning to get a curry leaf tree simply so we can add the yummy flavours to our Indian cooking.

Oh yeah diet, hydration and movement are the keys- something I took seriously I grew up and tried my hands in some sports activities. Curry tree leaves are too goo when used in cooking - get one soon. :)
