Fwiw Nate Silver's election model thinks North Carolina and Georgia will vote together this year.

They are highly correlated in his model. And either state could be the tipping point state.

North Carolina has some similarities with Georgia. It has been getting bluer with demographic changes. But it is whiter than Georgia.

The North Carolina governor's race features a really crazy Republican in Mark Robinson. He's performing poorly in the polls. That could help the top of the ticket, but gubernatorial races still feature a relatively high amount of split ticket voting these days. Current Democratic governor Roy Cooper won his election by 4.5% even though Biden lost the state by 1.3% in 2020.
