RE: NaNoWriMo!!!! 6 weeks away! Come join a Steemit writing team!

It challenges authors of any skill-level to participate and write a 50,000 word novel before the stroke of midnight on the 30th!

The challenge is pretty hard and I doubt the specifications are for "any skill-level". It would need to either raise the 30-day limit, or lower the word count.

Let's say 1666 words per day for 30 days.
Let's say there are 4-5 days per month where you can't do it, so you raise the avg up to 2000 words for 25 days.
Now, this needs editing, proofreading, etc, which is extra effort.

Is it doable? I think if you are an expert novelist, pulling a few tricks to increase "easy" word count, yes - without affecting overall quality too much. But is it for everyone / any-skill level? I highly doubt it.

It's hard but doable. Editing and proofreading comes in after the 30 days. The goal is to have fun and write as much as possible. No one fails if they don't reach their word count. Writing any amount is a success, because they managed to get however many words they accomplished out into the world!
