A Day in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico: MyPictureDay Submission
As some of you are aware, Brian's (my husband @briancourteau) health is not great, but today, he had a good day and we were able to get out and enjoy some sunshine in Playa:)
We started out walking and always meet stray dogs, so we bought this hungry mama some food:)
I often see her and of course, feed her so she is not as timid as she used to be:)
Then we made our way to 5th ave. where you can always get a glimpse of the ocean:)
We didn't do any shopping, but I spotted this really cute display at a storefront.
Then we made our way to a wonderful little restaurant called Chiltepin. It has a swimming pool at the center of the eating area; all obviously outside. Of course I forgot to take a picture of the pool, but I asked our server to take a pic of Brian and I :) 
And then this fellow showed up outside to play some music! Note his speaker bungeed to his seat:) So ingenious!
With our bellies full, we made it home just in time to capture this photo of the setting sun; always a very comforting sight!

I like the little bambino outfits :) very cute!
It's nice to see the sun is out; it poured rain here in Vancouver, but it brought out a beaver at Beaver Lake and I got some footage of it working in the creek and venturing into the forest! I didn't realize how far into the forest these creatures go; now I know :)
I apparently have a "thing" for the mamas :) She is really beautiful though!
And yes, the bambino outfits; I just pictured my husband and boys (when they were much smaller!) in them:)
Of course it poured in Vancouver haha. That's pretty cool about the beavers though. I too had no idea they ventured so far...busy lil' guys :)

Thanks! Yes, I'd love to take her home but I followed her, hoping to find the puppies, and she does have a home...a drunk guy saying "perro (dog) and money". Made me so sad. I love everything here except how a lot of dog and cat owners don't seem to take good care of their pets; not like home actually. But some certainly do...I can't paint everyone with the same brush for sure! I'm actually working on a blog about it.

I did see that pretty much anywhere in the Caribbean, people didn't treat their dogs very well. I think the goats were treated better.
