As usual, I go to Guaiquerí Park in my city on weekends, always accompanied by my camera to capture moments of flora, fauna or people, among others. But this time I was able to photograph this beautiful bird giving itself a rich bath, the bird never realized that it was close, which facilitated the capture of a large part of that great bath.

I feel comfortable with these photos because it was worth going to the park and my reward was the conclusion of this beautiful work.

I want to share 13 characteristics of this beautiful bird

• They can get to socialize more with us than with other birds.

• In 1851, the common sparrow arrived in Brooklyn, New York for the first time. Later, the species moved across the West Coast and the Rocky Mountains.

• In Japan, they are a symbol of loyalty.

• They represent the insignificance in the New Testament of the Bible and are associated with loneliness in the Old Testament.

• There are fifteen different subspecies of sparrows common in the West.

• Some can reach up to 12 years of age.

• The oldest reached 15 years and 9 months.

• Both sexes can measure between 15-17 cm in length and weigh around 27-29 grams

• They have the ability to swim.

• Its clearest enemies are starlings, a species known for destroying its eggs.

. They love playing with dust and soil.

. They have a clear tendency to return to the place of birth after their migration.

• They also like water a lot.
